A Defining Moment…

A Defining Moment Is A Significant Event That Shaped A Person’s Identity, Personality And Life.

Unknown

“Tell me one defining moment that has created a massive impact on your life.” He said. An instant brightened up my mind. At the age of 25, I was unhappy in my job, always feeling as though i am not fit in. I struggled to work with someone who is consistently stressed and spreads negativity all the time. I felt that this is not what i am looking for. I started seeking a new job opportunity.

Back then, I was not a fan of reading books. I remember that night when I was scrolling social media pages and a book popped up on my screen. The Secret self-help book by Rhonda Byrne. My curiosity drove me to go and buy it. I read this book, I discovered that I have the power to think and create anything I want with my mind. By leaps and bounds, everything started to change gradually.

Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life.

Wayne Dyer

Yes, it changed my perspective on everything in life; my work, relationship, wealth, health, and my self-fulfillment.. I decided to be a new person full of energy, joy, gratitude. I began using the magnet, the law of attraction. I made it easy for myself, as a challenge, the more i think good thoughts the more i feel good; Ask, Believe, Receive. It worked!

The Law Of Attraction Is Always Working, Whether You Believe It Or Understand It Or Not.

Bob Proctor

This mind-shift was obvious to one of my colleagues. ”You look very happy and energetic these days!” she said. “I’ve had a change of heart”, I replied.

The book gave me a peace of mind. I became resilient, stronger and ready to face any obstacle and challenge. Every cloud has a silver lining and difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.

I am pretty sure that most of you have read this book. Share in the comment below its impact on your life.

  1. Nice! I have mixed feelings about this concept. I’ve not read the book but know enough about it’s premise to get the gist. I agree that the law of attraction is a thing: do good, be kind, and you’ll attract positive things in return. That’s logical. However I don’t believe things comically change simply because you think a certain way, and fear this type of approach risks blaming people who have difficult experiences for not thinking positively enough, which is a shame. (Read Derren Brown’s book Happy for more thoughts on this!)

Overall though I am a big advocate for the idea that our actions and choices have huge impacts on our lives and what happens in them, and for taking personal responsibility. It’s great to hear a story where consciously choosing a different way has genuinely transformed your life ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Lauren! Thank you for the comment. I definitely will read the book. And yes there is no results without an action. However i was solely focusing on tuning our thoughts and intentions.

  2. Great Post. There is a scripture that says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” … Romans 12:2 ironically, I purchased that book last year at the library for 50 cents and haven’t yet read it. I am one with an opened mind will let you know what I think when I can get around to it. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings and Peace.
